93 Accord EX-changing timing belt/w.pump- what else do I need to orderPawl 09-30-2008, 12:55 PM I would like some input on what else I need to order to do this right once I have it apart. Car has 160,000 miles this will be 3rd timing belt/w.pump.This will be the 1st one I have done. There is just so much confusion when I search for information on what to order.I am sure there are plenty of guys on here who have done it and know exactly what to order. I am not interested in cutting corners.I figure I am saving labor $$$$ by doing it myself. Can anyone help? Thanks Paul ride_ronix1 10-01-2008, 10:52 PM along with the timing belt and water pump i would also check the balance shaft belt. and seeing how many miles it has on it i would also check your tensioner pulleys and springs. a new gates timing kit costs about 120 bucks and includes both belts and the tensioners, not sure what all that costs from honda Pawl 10-02-2008, 12:54 AM http://www.gates.com/images/sub_folder.gif Timing Belts & Componentshttp://www.gates.com/common/images/icons/pixel.gif Balance Shaft BeltAutomotive Timing BeltT186 (http://www.gatespowerpro.com/Comergent/en/US/adirect/gates?cmd=catProductDetail&HostWorks=true&part_number=T186)Interference engine application http://www.gates.com/common/images/icons/pixel.gif Cam. Is replacement of the camshaft seal and crankshaft seal part of the normal replacement? If it is do I need do I need any special tools to pull out the seals?I will call Gates about what is in their Timing belt component kit.
