all my problems started when i replaced the valve cover gaskets and upper intake to get to rear valve cover. afteri put everthing back together i took it for a test drive and got about a mile away from the house and all **ll brock lose and it was all i could do to get it back to the house. i let cool off and started it started back stalls/hesitates/lunges and set off check eng light, code 45 rich exhaust and it is it smells like im dumping gas out the exhaust.

Welcome to AF. no mention of what engine, 3.1?, many things can cause this, make sure the vacuum hose is on the fp regulator for starters.

its a 3.1. the vac line is on i look at again and unpluged the map and it seems to be running better.
