I would like to know more than my Haynes manual for my truck, it's lacking all the details I want, like really good specification's for a complete engine rebuild, more details on the front wheel hubs and airconditiong servicing, just to name a few. I would like to know the publisher's name and if possible where I could buy it. This forum has some outstanding talent, and I have faith that those people can advise me of the best manual. Hopefully it's not through the dealer because mine is about an hour's drive away.

Welcome to AF. Helms prints the GM manuals, check them online. Or check for one on e-bay.

Hey Maxwedge I am getting a travel/realty/whatever site when I type in www.helms.com (http://www.helms.com). Could you set me straight with the correct URL for Helms?

Maxwedge I found them, they are at www.helminc.com (http://www.helminc.com). Thanks for your help, I sent them an email asking if the manual is what I looking for with rebuilding in mind. :smokin:

Hey Maxwedge, Helms answered my email. They said, "Yes the service manual is very technical and detailed, it is designed for mechanics. It's a little bit more expensive than my Haynes $135 vs $16, but I guess you get what you pay for! Helms is also located in Highland Park, MI, my home state! Say do you remember the "Air Grabber" pop up hood scoup, I do but can't remember the exact model Mopar it was on, the Challenger maybe? A buddy of mine had the Dukes of Hazzard Charger I believe with a 440 6 pack in high school, boy those were the cars and days! Thanks!
