I don't have a manual but think this is my problem with overheating. Thanx Classicrocjunkie 09-24-2008, 01:21 PM What motor and year? ..and take it easy on how many times you hit the submit button. FantzyPantzy 09-24-2008, 01:35 PM Sorry.. I saw that and wanted to go back and delete a few, but I couldn't :frown: It's a 98 Chevy Cavalier with a 2.2 automatic Thanx for your help inafogg 09-24-2008, 02:09 PM should be on thermo housing(where upper rad hose connects to engine) FantzyPantzy 09-24-2008, 02:10 PM Great thanx jakegday 09-24-2008, 06:14 PM if your 98 2.2 is the "2200" like mine, (which it most likely is) it can be found in the upper radiator hose/pipe, its in the metal pipe part. there should be a small hose going from your coolant resevior to that pipe, its right under that hose. right behind the alternator and right above your serpentine belt FantzyPantzy 09-24-2008, 11:10 PM Thank you and you are absolutely correct. I found it and changed it and now drive with my fingers crossed that it works. Other than this, I can only assume it's the head gasket and please, please, pray for me that it isn't. You guys rock...thanx for all your responses. Happy Cavaliering vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
