1996 1996 honda accord upper radiator hose collapsingdiejediknight 09-23-2008, 04:16 PM :banghead:..ok..replaced the radiator(hoses too) because it was cracked..no big deal.so i check the coolant a couple days later and noticed the upper hose keeps collapsing.its the 2.2 engine(no vtec)auto trans...got me stumped.never heard of a thermostst causing this condition.no luck under the forums search either...any help is much appreciated.....Matt:runaround: somick 09-24-2008, 11:50 AM That could the problem with aftermarket hoses (if you used them). But it also sounds like a problem with the the radiator cap: it should direct the extra collant to the expantion tank, or pull the more collant in if the system needs it.
