how do i prepare for the 1/4 mile ?94tegRS 03-14-2003, 06:47 PM I sold my 94 Integra RS and got a 92 Integra GS-R with a B16A in it. I'm gonna run the 1/4 mile for the first time in that car tomorrow and need some tips on how to get the best time. The current mods on the car are: B16A V-tec motor, injen cold air intake, greddy exhaust, dc sports headers, NGK Sparkplugs, Magancore Sparkplug wires, Intake manifold and Throttlebody of a B18C1, YS 1 Tranny, short shifter..... I would also like to know what time is possible with my set-up(approximately). 1320B4U 03-14-2003, 08:07 PM My friends girlfriend has a '88-91 style 4-door civic with a B16, about the same level of mods, it ran a 14 flat at ?. I dont remember the trap speed. But the car is gutted; no door panels, carpet, back seats, spare, etc. What's the stock 92 GSR with the 1.7 run? Like a 15.5? With your mods on the B16, bigger than stock tires and a good launch, it seems like a mid to high 14 is possible. civicHBsi91 03-14-2003, 08:25 PM why get rid of the b17? or did you buy it like that?? -The Stig- 03-14-2003, 08:27 PM This might help... Drag Racing Tips (http://http://www.musclecarclub.com/library/race/drag-racing-tips.shtml) 94tegRS 03-14-2003, 10:56 PM I bought the car with the B16 instead of the B17. Both engines make an equal amount of horsepower but the B16 is more capable of producing more horsepower than the B17. Also it is more reliable. civicHBsi91 03-15-2003, 08:39 AM ide rather have the b17 just cuz its pretty rare, cranks are like gold KrNxRaCer00 03-15-2003, 04:05 PM b17...i'd be jealous. Hybrid1990crx 03-22-2003, 11:48 AM I almost bought a 92 gsr. I saw it in auto trader and called that day and they said they still had it. I drive my crx down the next day and plan to put money down on it that day as long as it looked good. But when I got there is was sold. It was black with tan interior, think it may have been leather but i didnt look at it too much. It also only had 47,000 miles on it. I was pissed. It was going for either $4,000 or $4,500. I was pissed. mnd643 03-22-2003, 10:03 PM Yea, if I were you, I'd be kickin myself after that one.... vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
