Ok so I go to start my blazer and everytime it sits overnight the first time i hit the brakes while in gear they go to floor and lock up. Kinda feels like air in the lines but then goes away down the street. Then the other day it was cold out and my brakes locked up after driving for about 20 minutes which it has never done before. I checked the fluid it looks old and nasty I am going to change that then i noticed the abs valce pin is popped out on the back valve what does this mean do I need to replace that too? I need it fixed soon as I have a 3 week old daughter that has dr appt and the wife cant drive stick so this is her only car. oh yeh no brake light comes on either. Ive never seen this before

Has it been losing fluid.
Any leakage any place?
Has the system been repaired before?
How many miles on it?
Does yellow and red brake light come on for a key on bulb check?

Old nasty fluid should hold a full pedel but is hard on all rubber parts in brake system.
The old nast fluid should be flushed out and ststem bleed out good.
But first thing.
It is not safe to drive like it is.
Get it fixed before you drive it anymore.
It sounds like you have air in system or the rear shoes are way out of adjustment or the master cylinder is bypassing pressure.

Remove and inspect rear brakes and check self adjusters adust them back up whe when drums are back on.
Can you feel any bypass in master cylinder on a light pedel push down?
Does the balance pin come out when steeping on brakes or does it stay stuck out.
If it is out and stays out you could have a leak in system and the pin has come out to shut off leak.

To bleed air has got into the abs system to bleed the abs system requires a ABS capable scanner.

Good Luck and let us know how it goes.

If the master cylinder is bad or bypassing fluid pressure inside you usually cna feel it seap down when pushing real ligk pressure on brake pedal.

Always check rear brakes and adustment first and the test master cylinder for seapage or bypassing.
Then bleed flush and bleed system.

Abs capable scanners are very expensive.
Can run 5K or more.

For a one time bleed it is best to get a repair shop to do it.

Does it have a full brake pedal first push?
Is red brake light on?
Have you bleed them yet?
