keyless remoteglendaspills 09-19-2008, 03:35 PM I just bought a new key and a remote for my 1999 Jeep Grand Cherokee and I was wondering if anyone knew how to program the remote. I was told that I had to bring this to a dealer to have it done. Is this true or does anyone have the code that I could do myself? Bob D. 09-22-2008, 12:07 AM If your Jeep has the Sentry Key option (ID chip in the key) the new key must be programmed to your vehicle. You can self-program an additional Sentry Key if you currently have two working keys. The person that told you the remote transmitter must be programmed by the dealer was correct; the remote can be programmed only by a Chrysler dealership. And they are usually cheaper than the dealer. reekor 09-24-2008, 03:11 AM What someone with a DRB3 scantool. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
