Help me decide '91 Accord wagonGary L 09-16-2008, 07:04 PM I need a small wagon to drag my tools around to job sites and just got offered a 1991 Accord EX wagon with 202,000 miles on it for a grand. Car is running very nicely and in exceptional condition considering age and miles. No rust at all and the only problems I can see are minor stuff like lift gate pistons are shot and don't hold it up, dome light is burned out and the radio is dead. It is an auto and shifts crisp, needs tires and owner claims it has had all scheduled maintenance since new. Oil level is on the mark and I can't really say I see any issues but I am concerned about the 202,000 miles and what might be left before I need catastrophic repairs. I did ask about the timming belt and she claims if it needed it that she is sure the dealer did it because she has been servicing it with what ever the dealer said it needed since new. Sadly, she does not keep records and claims she just pays the bills and it has never let her down. Her dealer will allow $1,000 on a trade in so she offered it to me for this price and I have to decide quick. I don't know the car or their reliability records but it sure does look pretty nice. Should I???? Thanks Gary vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
