My 90 accord has a big steering problem. While driving if my foot is on the gas, the car will turn smoothly, but if i take my off the gas need all my strength just to turn a corner. Why is the car doing this? Also, when the car is turned the motor shakes very bad but if my foot is on the gas it stops doing it. There are not engine lights on or anything. What is the cause of this?

For hard steering I would check the belt's tention. When you give more gas it finaly grabs and turns the pump.

For the shaking check for vacuum leaks or check engine mounts.

Good luck,

Sam

the tension on the belt is hard. also noticed that when turning right it is normal but turning left is the challenge. when i started the car the steering went from right to left to far right without me touching the wheel.

It might be your steering rack is bent or has bad check valves that are not allowing the fluid to travel in its intended path.
