Hey I just got a 98 accord ex 4 cyl with a manual trans - 116k. About 2 days after I got it check engine light came on. I took it to the a Honda dealer and they pulled code 1457. told me it probably was the gas cap since i told them i just filled up the night before - however the part the tech said it needed was the "canister and shut valve". I've read some other posts and got a whole list of stuff 1457 could be related to and 1456 is the gas cap. So my question is for $270 what are the chances the canister and shut valve will solve the problem? I kinda feel like they are shooting in the dark. They reset it and it has come on again. The car runs great, i just want the car to last for a good long time.

Also, the car shakes sometimes when driving above 60. most prevalent around 70 - 73. Is this just a tire balance issue?

And finally, dealer wants to replace front stabilizer bar (the whole thing) because it is worn and loose. is this necessary?
