My truck won't start. It's not turning over. Took the circuit opening relay out but don't know what to do next.

Truck started right up just now, this morning. Does this confirm a bad circuit opening relay? Or do I need to check something else? If it is just the circuit opening relay should I get a new one or used?

Buying used electrical parts is never recomended. You will get a used part JUST LIKE the one you took out.

First what do you mean by turning over (starter motor will not run)
or the engine will not start when cranking.
if the engine cranks and will no start, you have to check if their is
fuel and spark , if there is no fuel the opening circuit relay could be your problem, this relay in on the right kick panel (passagers side )
This relay often gets wet on the older model toyota and fail to work giving you a not start condition (But engine will crank with the starter).
Opening circuit relay, is for the fuel injection system and has nothing to do with the Starter motor.(use new electrical parts only)

Sorry. The starter wasn't operating. I found info. on how to jump the fuel pump so that should help me if this happens again but I'd like to replace the part if it's defective.

If car starts no need to replace ORC But you could remove the kick panel and check for water damage could save you problems in the future :banghead: .
