Remove Power Steering from 1997 Olds 88

In the process of replacing my water pump, one of the water pump mounting screws backs up into the power steering pulley. In an attempt to get the screw out, I am not sure whether to remove the power steering by removing its mounting bolts, which despite having a Haynes manuel schematic I am having difficulty finding, or can the power steering pulley be removed from under the hood without first removing the power steering system (the power steering pulley puller that I rented to try and do this would not fit). What is the best way to procede? To remove the entire power steering system what other components, if any, need to be removed first. My knowledge of cars is very limited but I am able to follow suggestions.
Thanks - Taylor

Welcome to AF. Loosen the pump and move it forward, you will be able to access the bolt.
