Another Light on. Now the Anti-lock and Trac-off light is on. Trac-off light will not go off by pressing the ETS button on the console so I assume both these lights are related to the same problem. I will check resistance on all wheel sensors. Please help if you can...THANKS.

Lights went out on there on for about 2 weeks. Took wheels off to paint rotors and calipers and now the lights (Anti- lock and Trac off) come on everytime we drive it. Whata heck??

ok..... how did this thread go from a misfire thread to a hub issue..

I'll take it off your hands for a couple hundred dollars.

ps get it scanned with an ABS capable scan tool, it'll say what caused the lights.

:sorry: I didnt mean it like that! It is your thread.

Its just that with so many pages, the value of the information becomes diluted and hard to follow.

Btw might also check the plugs on your wheel hub/speed sensors. You could have knocked them loose or could have a short in the wire(s)/plugs. :2cents:

have a Great Weekend everyone!

and I meant I'd take your Alero off your hands for a couple hundred

I agree JC. Getting confusing. We'll just split the new issues off to a new thread.

As JC mentioned best to get it scanned with an ABS capable scanner. Another issue would be the wiring from the wheel sensors to include electrical connector and where it runs along the control arm and to the subframe to the ABS modulator. Check the connector at the ABS modulator too.

Note: The ABS modulator has the EBTCM module which is the electronic brain of the ABS and traction control system.
