Dodge V10 MotorcyleBaNe 03-12-2003, 06:25 PM Dodge V10 motorcycle called the Tomahawk. based on the viper engine Chances are it will come into production but will cost around $250,000 U.S  BaNe 03-12-2003, 06:27 PM Also they stated that four wheels were neccesary and are only a few inches apart. mentel 03-12-2003, 06:28 PM wrong forum BaNe 03-12-2003, 06:30 PM I thought perhaps this could be a modeling subject for someone with more skills than me! mentel 03-12-2003, 06:43 PM Originally posted by BaNe I thought perhaps this could be a modeling subject for someone with more skills than me! lol........I think someone would have to have access to computer CAD controlled laser grid milling machines to make one of these man! Thor302 03-12-2003, 07:02 PM i saw in a magazne it will do a top speed of 450mph, i dont see how you can ride it with all the tourqe a V10 makes  mhpspeed 03-12-2003, 07:12 PM I bet it turns like a cow! Veyron 03-12-2003, 07:33 PM I saw it today in person at the Atlanta International Auto Show! It looks cool but as you can see it has no aerodynamic body work so speed and stability are going to be lacking. I would have to see it run to believe it actually could, it didn't look road worthy at all, it's prolly just a concept and that's it.:) mentel 03-12-2003, 07:45 PM Originally posted by Veyron I saw it today in person at the Atlanta International Auto Show! It's in production - let me go take pictureo f my motorcycle mag to prove it TheSyndicate 03-12-2003, 07:53 PM Don't plan on riding it for long when you consider the heat a V10 makes. mentel 03-12-2003, 07:57 PM its got special heat sheilding, somethign about using ceramics. they have everything planned out 4 wheels all have independant steering and 2 swingarms connect the wheels, they say it rides like a normal bike, there is a balancing mechanism inside the bike to make it stand up when not being ridden. here is a pic from my magazine http://www.photo-chop.com/shit/AUT_0774.JPG http://www.photo-chop.com/shit/AUT_0775.JPG http://www.photo-chop.com/shit/AUT_0776.JPG Veyron 03-12-2003, 08:56 PM they are producing 1000 units. It's in production - let me go take pictureo f my motorcycle mag to prove it Dude, the article says they are considering a production run, not that the bike is IN production. The caption in the picture reads " might see production". I think it's just a show bike to get Daimler Chrysler some attention, and it worked!:) freakray 03-13-2003, 05:42 AM Originally posted by mentel wrong forum Very wrong forum, so as a moderator, why didn't you move it? ;) ZoomZoomMX-5 03-13-2003, 06:30 AM This bike is absurd. It certainly attracts the yahoos with the numbers and the weird styling. It gets attention, but it's anything but a serious motorcycle. 450 mph? 1200 lbs? 500 horsepower? Please. My bike with less than 100 hp will run with a Viper...that's fast enough for an experienced rider, I can imagine what happens when some rap star or lawyer jumps on one for the first time. This is a show bike, complete and total overkill. If they can even muscle this beast into the street, they're simply going to end up Darwin Award recipients or organ donors. Nice concept, but better left on display in a museum than letting some overpaid yahoo onto the street with it. Yeah, it's a running prototype, and they might produce it. But to me it's just an overpriced 500hp fantasy beast for someone who thinks they're lacking somewhere, and replace that with something more powerful between their legs. And this conveyance of pleasure can get them in a hell of a lot of trouble too fast as well!   Basically, kids, don't try this at home. 450HPviper 03-19-2003, 08:46 AM Somebody will kill themselves. Count on it. arthur12187 05-02-2003, 04:45 PM who would want to pay 250,000 for a motorcycle?? i can get 2 cobras for that price! SuPeRcAr_MaN 05-02-2003, 08:23 PM Can a Cobra go 400 mph? Of course not. But I wouldn't want this motercycle either. It has a 5 gallon gas tank! How long can a V10 run on 5 gallons??? Nookie_Monster 05-04-2003, 08:37 PM 60 miles highway. 50 miles city. that's how far. so about an hour. SRacer 05-28-2003, 01:11 PM It also can go 0 to 60 in 2 SECONDS! Take that the street racing circut and win some cash back....as long as you can hold on. speedblst 06-05-2003, 12:40 AM do you think you could posibly go 450mph on a bike? pluse they said it only does 300mph! VenomInMyVeins 10-07-2003, 04:12 AM seriously, this bike doesn't seem very practical.... 4 wheels, the heat of a v10, the weight of a v10, the lack of any aero dynamics.... it probably sounds like a beast, so it'll be loud as all hell. i would own one, but I wouldn't own it for driving, just as a show car, ya know? it seems like it's too raw. D14D 11-04-2003, 10:58 AM according to daimlerchrysler, ag the 2003 dodge tomohawk concept dcx has approved the reporduction of 9 tomohawk's for sale in the annual nieman marcus christmas catalouge for $550,000.00 (usd) s+h extra doaes anyone have any idea how much it would cost to ship a 1,500 pound motorbike to anywhere in the usa VenomInMyVeins 11-04-2003, 12:38 PM In the catalogue?!? I have a feeling that they'll be sold before the catalogue is sent out. Yeah it's 550k, but if I had the money it'd be sitting in my garage the day after it goes up for sale. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
