hi guys i recently bought a m-reg 1.8rt laguna (f3p engine)
its been running fine for 4-5 weeks untill the other day when driving to work it suddenly stalled.....so i fired her back up thinking i stalled it, but it took some starting and splutterd into life for 3 seconds then it packed up for good.
for a car of this age it had not one problem with electrics or anything not even the dreaded immobiliser problem(yet)......yes immobiliser is fine!!
today i fitted a new tdc sensor to the cost of £20 but still wont start
found out i have no spark to any ht lead
+i pulled the main ht lead off the ignition module and to my suprise was about half a teaspoon of oxidised metal(yes the bright green stuff:banghead: ) looks like its from the connector on the ht lead
my dad had a closer inspection of the ignition module and found a 1-2 inch crack in the resin on the side of the module ......could this be my problem ....my ignition module has packed up?.........and why did i get all that oxidised metal?
any help will be usefull:)
