So heres something Ive been wondering for sometime now. Can a stock 92 PA be converted to an ultra (engine-wise.) What would be involved in a converision? Would one need to replace the whole engine or just add the supercharger to the stock engine? If it is fesible how much would it cost?

thanks,
Josh

Very touchy ground... Can you attach the Supercharged car part to your stock L27 Tuned Port engine... Yes you can... But the Pistons, Wrist Pins, Connecting Rods, Injectors, and Transmission are not set up to handle the M62 Blower..

A Buddy did this recently and we found out why the NA engine was not a great idea for this.. We adapted all of the SC items to the L27 Longblock as it was in pristine condition...

After a while he noticed a slight knock... It got worse... He finally pulled the engine and pulled it apart.. We found the pistons to be in awesome shape.. But all 6 rod bearings were damaged... Best we could all figure out was that the rods were side loading or flexing under the strain of the SC...

If you plan on doing this you will have to make a few changes to the wiring of the car, I would recommend an SC Trans with the better diff, and a complete L67 Long Block.... If you plan on doing this do it right the first time or else you are going to spend a lot more later..
