I had an Eaton posi installed in my 2wd pickup a few months ago. It worked and still works well. However, It recently started making an odd low-pitched noise when the vehicle is turned. The noise is hard to describe - sort of a whirr/rumble - not very loud, but very noticable (annoying) when, say, I'm slowly motoring around a parking lot. ...new noise - I'm sure it's a problem. Any ideas? - much appreciated.

Check the fluid first. Was the fill plug was put back in? It could even be a wheel bearing, try to narrow it down to one side, you may have to have someone listening to each side as you drive by and turn. If you can't narrow it down to one side, it could be in the carrier. Whoever installed it should take a look at it, hope its still under some sort of warranty.
