I have a 1994 Chevy S-10 Blazer the pulley is toast the bearing is bad in trying to remove the bolt is loosened but now turns freelly i cant get it off the tensioner assembly,do i have to remove the hole unit and if so how, it is bolted to the same bracket that holds in a/c compressor and looks like i would have to remove it as well, hoping to not have to do that but if i must .......well you know.

Is it the adjustment teninisor or a solid idler pulley?
Is the bolt in the center of pulley?
If it turns and does not come lose you have stripped the threads.
