1991 sonoma with 1990 s10 4.3L motor .... To much gas??? Won't startroadxing 08-08-2008, 09:42 PM just put a '90 s10 4.3L into my '91 sonoma (it had a bad 4.3L). Anyway, it wont start. it appears the injectors are spraying to much gas??? Double then triple checked wiring, fire order, etc... It will start if you turn it over for a few seconds, unplug the injectors then turn it over. Of course it only runs for a few seconds that way but it does start. Any ideas? Truck did run before i pulled the motor. I used the old tbi stuff on the replacement motor so i know that was at least good a week ago. MT-2500 08-12-2008, 11:50 AM Have you got it figured out yet or do you need help on it? MT roadxing 08-12-2008, 11:55 AM still havent figured it out.... fuel regulator is good, injectors are good, fuel pump relay is good, timing is fine... still getting to much gas blazes9395 08-12-2008, 12:05 PM Whats the fuel pressure? Did you check for trouble codes? Whats your battery? Make sure its charged and not low either. MT-2500 08-12-2008, 12:38 PM After code check. Other things to look for is grounds at thermostat housing and tempt and air sensors and tps sensor. Also make sure injector wiring is not grounding out. If codes post back code no.
