I have a 92 Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme with a 3.1 engine. Recently I have been having problems starting the car. The car periodically starts. The scenario if the car is that it will start and I may not have any problems for a couple days then for no apparent reason the car will not start for 3 to 4 days. Then it repeats the cycle of running for a couple of days and then not. Weather is not an issue, I had the computer checked and all readout is OK. The engine turns over fine but just will not start. I was recently told that it could be the crank position sensor. I’m not sure where the sensor is located and if it is easy to replace. Can someone tell help me with this problem?

Welcome to AF, basic diagnostics here requires checking for spark and fuel pressure when this happens, try to start it with starting fluid, check spark at the plugs, good strong blue arc.
