Hello everyone...
I'm new to this forum, so I apologize if I'm repeating a thread. Did a search, but couldn't find anything simular. I've got a 93 Dodge Dakota, V8, 318 4 x 4. I've tuned it up (plugs, wires, cap, rotor, pcv valve, breather, fuel filter, air filter and EGR valve). It started and ran great for one day. The next day when I went out to start it, no spark. I checked for spark at the coil, none. The coil tests within specs...even put in a new battery. Swapped out the ASD relay with another one and still no spark. Right now I'm looking for a blown fusible link or other electrical issue. Can anyone give me some pointers and/or direction so I'm not chasing my tail? Thanks a bunch!!!:runaround:

Use a 12 volt test light put it on the coil negative and check if it blinks when your cranking the engine. If it don't check the pickup in the distributor and the crankshaft position sensor.

Unbolt the windshield wiper bottle and there are a gang of wires behind it.Look for a corroded wire or wires and this a common problem

i had a similar problem with my old '93 and it turned out to be the crank sensor. hope this helps.
