Well I guess my fuel pump shut off switch triped. My ranger will not start. I push the button on my shut off switch and start the truck it runs good. But as soon as I release my finger of the shut of value the vehicle dies. it will only run if I hold down the fuel pump shut off value. Any answers. Please help!! Thank you.

sounds like you need a switch

You could bypass it.

These switches are pretty simple. If you are mechanical in nature, you could open the switch up and inspect it to see if by chance one of the tabs came out or if by chance the steel bearing is wedged somewhere and hasn't settled back down into the magnetic cone.

Or you could buy a new switch.
