I just replaced the rear coils, rear shocks, front coils, and front shocks. I have 300lb rear coils and KB shocks. I planned on and did a fair amount of towing and the rear end doesn't sag when any weight is put on it.

However, I put stiffer springs in the front, 1050 or 1100. I knew they were shorter than stock and have no problem with that, but the front end bounces like crazy, the new shocks are also KB.

Is it because the rear is so stiff or that the shock doesn't get to travel its full length or both.

I'm ready to install the stock springs back into the front. The heighth is not a bifg deal for me. But i would like the ride to be stiffer in the front.

Any suggestions?

Thank You.

They used to sell shocks with a small spring around them which help somewhat. You can also check if air shocks are available.
I would check if any parts stores handle a heavier spring the correct length.
If you have any spring shops in your area ask them.

Have you checked your new shocks again /there my be a bad one from the supplyer .It happens / how shorter are this new springs?? 1 inch wont make a difference. You could try CVPI springs (cop car ) Shocks control the bounce/springs cause the bounce unless the coil spring is binding????

Monroe makes coil over shocks for the CV. We use them on the Police vehicles to help in handling. With KB shocks, the original coil springs should work well.
