Removing Bed Arrowshooter 08-03-2008, 02:15 PM
I need to replace the fuel pump in my '98 and have decided to remove the bed. So for those of you who have tackled this job, how do I get to the bolt that is behind the tank without dropping the tank anyway? I stopped in my tracks and came right here. Thanks. scrapper1 08-03-2008, 03:03 PM one way or another your going to have to drop the tank.. MT-2500 08-03-2008, 06:39 PM Did they leave you enough room to get a wrench on it or a long extension with a flex socket? Let us know how it goes. Good luck Arrowshooter 08-04-2008, 12:41 AM I started in the back and the hitch was covering the holes in the bottom of the frame so I assumed there were no holes. Well, there are holes and the bed is off. Took all of ten minutes to get it off. Thanks for the replies though. MT-2500 08-04-2008, 11:39 AM You are welcome . And thanks for posting back what you found. Glad you got it figured out. Good luck MT Related Links Enter the largest automotive community on the planet! |
