I know these threads pop up all the time and i have been reading around.I ddon't know much about caprices just a small amount anyway.

Its a 89 caprice 5.0 I believe well thats what it says on the underhood sticker
Dual exhaust with the chevy emblem tips I looked under the car it has to mufflers and it sounds good. Someone was telling me about its better if their seperated but dont know much about that.

The body is ok little paint fade on the hood and a small spot on the quarter Its $1700 also its from texas so and I looked under car it looks like not much rust especially trying to find one here in chicago


Any suggestions heads up etc I would appreciate thanks.

The Caprice is a fine car and the TBI 305 (what that car has) is not exactly gutless. I have a neighbor here where I live who has one of those and I got a chance to drive it for her - I was impressed that it was a 305 under the hood. Good for todays oil prices.

Excellent car there. The 305 was mastered by then so you shouldn't have to worry about the 305 cam lobe failure. Plus if taken care of, they can and usually are long running, reliable cars. The only downside I see for some people, is if you like to drive offensively because of the weight, cushy smooth suspension, and solid rear axle, these cars don't exactly hug the road around hard cornering. But for me personally that's not a concern. I just enjoy the ride! If you get it, welcome aboard!
