Howdy,
My 1995 Crown Vic P71 was involved in a front end collision that while it wasn't too bad it did set off the airbags. Now I can't get it to start or shift from Park to Neutral or any other gear. I was able to get it shifted twice but now it's stuck. So that's my first problem.

When I put the key in I get the chime plus another three beeps from the airbag module on the passenger kick panel. Leaving the battery disconnected has failed to reset this module. Is this preventing it from starting?

It turns over but won't run. I have had the issue where I have to shove the shifter farther into Park to get it to turn over. This is a factory LPG conversion (not bi-fuel) and I checked the factory inertia switch and it was not tripped. I can't find another one and an Alt Fuel shop said they use the same OEM switch. Ideas?

Other than the bumper and header panel, there was a part of the wiring harness up around the bumper that some wires were cut. I repaired this with connectors and rewrapped it.

Help! I miss my Crown Vic!

http://www.obd2allinone.com/ This is the cheapest tester I know of for this application. Apparently they offer some technical support. I would also buy a Ford service manual for this car.

Traced it to one of the 50 amp Maxi fuses for the ignition near the battery. Having it turn over but not start threw me off. Magically, it shifts and runs fine!
Couldn't find anything on how to clear the memory on the airbag module but I replaced it with a salvage one and the beeping stopped.
