I am currently working on an escort turbo when the lad working on the fuel distibutor fuel pressure reg asked why a mechaniche had seen setting up a car on a rolling road was adjusting the little hex key inside the automatic pressure fuel regulator and which way he should turn it to adjust fuel pressure i told him to leave it allone unless a fuel pressure tester was available. however does anyone know. what it does. how to adjust. what way to turn. how much cus its tiny. and does it need a fuel pressure guage. cant find it in any litterature. can see pics of it but no mention of this screw. found some vauge comments about factory set no adjustment and another saying should be reset to compensate for older used engines. .can any of u amazin guys an dolls out there help .thanks.system ke jetronic

Welcome to AF. The Escorts here in the states are a completely different car than what you have in the U.K. so it is difficult to give you an answer. If it were I I"d put a fuel pressure gauge in the system and then adjust the hex key until the wanted pressure was achieved.
