Did you check your computer for codes on why the lamp is on? Normally it is just a sensor issue that can be resolved easliy rather than trying to get rid of the light and inhibiting the abs system

You will have to buy an ABS scanner and fix the problem or go to a shop with an ABS scanner. The cheapest that will only give codes is $200.00. on ebay.

I'm sure this isn't what you want to here. You maybe lucky and have a blown fuse this you can check. You can look for the wire to the sensor to each wheel and check if its broken. Some times a ring on the wheel comes off and will cause a light. Normally you can here this. The unit itself they sell rebuilt do a google search a lot cheaper than the dealer.

Call around to the auto parts places and see if they will test it for free. Autozone will, but they use different names in different parts of the country. Cheapo OBD2 scanners won't pick up the code, but they can reset it. If there is indeed a fault, though, it will be right back on whenever you start the truck again.

Personally, I'd find out why it's on, then try to fix the problem. Just disabling it is kind of sloppy and your truck deserves better. You may even find out it is a cheap fix.

take the light out of the cluster. but by the time you have achieved that, you could have actually fixed the problem that caused the light to come on in the first place. then maybe your brakes wont spontaneously lock up on you when you least expect it.
