It will start and I can drive but then it will just cut off. It sometimes will take a minute to start back up and sometimes it will crank right up but then it will die again. This just started and I just need some suggestions.:crying:

check the battery terminals, my '01 did the same thing and I had a small amount of corrosion on the terminals, cleaned them and never had a problem since.

if it will crank back up and run after it cools off [ twenty minutes or so] . a neighbor of mine's '02 hd 2500 silverado with a 8.1 started quitting going down the road but would crank back up and run after it cooled off.the error message would say misfire. one day it quit while he was pulling cattle trailer with a load of cows and it wouldn't crank back up. he called someone to come get the trailer and he got a new fuelpump and we put it in in the middle of the gravel road. next day it quit again. it turned out to be the crankshaft sensor, put a new one in and it been running for a year now.i think the pump was $320.00 and sensor was around $100.00. the old sensor was cracked on the end of it.i would pressure test the fuelpump first if it won't hold above 50 pounds pressure then the pump is shot. you can rig a gauge up where the fuel filter goes.
