2000 Lesabre lost power during driving

Hi,
My 2000 Lesabre suddenly lost power during driving. I was able to park at the shoulder of the road. Tried to start again, it can move at low speed. But when I tried to accelerate, it gives a very loud noise (like tire is stucking), and was not able to accelerate.
We towed the car to a shop, but no problem was found. Tires are just fine. And we are able to drive it without any noticable problems after several hours.
We noticed some smell of gas in the car occasionally, but was not able to link this with the above problem.
Could the problem caused by blocked injector or any other problems related to fuel line?
Sorry I am a newbie.
Thanks for your help. I am afraid that it might die again any time on the road.

Welcome AF, it is unclear what happened here, when it got to the shop it started and ran ok? No codes or check engine?

Yes. The shop guy test drived it and seems to be fine.
No any error code or check engine.
Thanks for your reply.

no check engine light is kind of odd... It sounds like something may have overheated and the engine went into limp mode my car did this when i melted a tension pulley but since i didnt have a belt its no suprise to me that it wouldnt go, try scanning for codes again and see if anything comes up

Just now the car has an alarm of tire pressure. I drove to the shop, and the technician filled two tires, then no alarm.
Four days ago, the tires pressure are measured to be normal.
I am so tired and I don't know whether all these problems are connected or not.

has the problem reoccurred?

not reoccurred.
The first time has no alarm and couldn't accelerate (like a tire is stuck and others keep turning); but the second time has alarm and I can drive it as usual.
I am not sure the alarm is related to the accelerating thing.

AFter the tires are reset on pressure, do you press the RESET button on the computer DIC panel with the tire pressure check showing?

Also was any work done on the car recently involving the wheels or tires? Did anyone hit anything like branches or curbs or anything?
I am wondering if you have a bad reading coming from a wheel speed sensor. I wonder if the ABS unit or traction control is applying the brake to one wheel like it does when one wheel is trying to slip in snow during a hard pull. You would feel a vibration through the car sort of like a grinding feeling. It's a little like hitting the fine ridges they dig at the edge of the interstate in Ohio to wake up people who wander off the main lane of travel.

You need to go to a dealer or someone who can check the ABS/traction control system for past codes. I'll bet there's something wrong with a wheel sensor, or maybe the computer that interprets the readings from the wheel sensors, steering wheel direction, and the couple of sensors on the car that tell what the car is doing in terms of physical movement.

Thanks a lot!

>>> I did reset that.

>>> We changed the front passenger tire. But the tire with low pressure warning are the two driver side tires.

>>> Yeah, pretty much like what you described.

>>>I'll try that. Last time when we towed the car to the dealer. They told me no error code can be found in the computer. But I am not sure if they checked the ABS/Traction control systems.
