Hello, first post here. My driver side seat belt won't buckle... it will go in, and then if i turn around to check my blind spot or move at all, it'll just fall out of place and onto my lap. What could the problem be? And where can I get a replacement?

Thank you!

Edit: The problem is with the over the shoulder seat belt, not the lap belt.

Welcome to Automotiveforums. Try to get some slack and push it in really hard working it back and forth. The square hole in the belt end and not the latch end could be dirty. Clean the end up and spray some WD40 into the latch part. Wipe off any excess and try it again. You could get another at the boneyard pretty cheaply. I've never heard of a seat belt that wouldn't latch. Clean both ends up and spray some lubricant in there working them back and forth.

Press the release latch on the buckle. It should be spring loaded. If it doesn't spring back the "spring" could be broken.

Messing around with the release latch worked, thanks! It seems it could use some lubing up on the inside, but I guess I can just leave it in instead of releasing it, even though it doesn't move like the passenger side does. Do you know how much it would cost to get the motor fixed that moves the seat belt?

I agree with Davescort97. Put some WD-40 in it. Make sure to have a rag or something to catch excess. Glad to hear you use the belt. I'm in Utah now and people here haven't learned what seatbelts are yet
