ABS Light tmas79 07-25-2008, 11:00 AM
My 96 K1500's ABS light has come on. For about a week it would turn on and off (seemed to come on in the afternoon-hot outside and be off in the morning). Now the light is on all the time. Is there anyway to diag this or what am I looking at for repairs? My local shop wants to charge me $99 to run a diag. Thanks! MT-2500 07-25-2008, 02:22 PM Does the 99 dollars include minor repair on it? You need a ABS capable scanner to read out the abs data and run a diagnostic check on it and get codes. It takes About 10 minutes to read codes and diagnostic data . 30 -50 minutes to fix/replace most minor problems like speed sensors. If you can get the code no post it back for more info and help on it. MT Related Links Enter the largest automotive community on the planet! |
