04 Sentra right front rattle/noiseKrispie1 07-24-2008, 10:29 PM Hello, I have a 2004 Sentra 1.8S and recently I started noticing a rattling noise in my right front area. It seems to only happen when not accelerating or braking. When I'm driving along without using the throttle a lot I can hear it, sounds metalic like there is something loose. If I accelerate or use my brakes, it stops. This car only has 15,000 miles on it so it's still like new and is driven very lightly. Any ideas? Thank you, Kris slideways... 07-29-2008, 05:57 PM idea #1 your car is still under warranty. use it until your local dealer hates you. JudoJohn 07-31-2008, 10:02 PM It's probably your strut bearing. they are underneath the strut mount. it happened to my wife's car. i replaced the struts, and found the bad bearing on the right after i had taken the strut assembly apart. it's a $4 (+ -) part. but, like slideways says- use the dealer it's under warranty. Krispie1 08-09-2008, 09:06 PM Thank you both, I need to check if I still have a warranty, I know I have a 3 years 36,000 mile bumper to bumper and a 5 year 60,000 limited power train so again, not sure if this would fall under powertrain. I'm past the 3 year mark but way under the mileage. JudoJohn 08-24-2008, 09:55 PM Powertrain refers to engine and transmission, so it proboably would not be included. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
