My "Check Air Suspension" light comes on and off, but has been on more than not but the ride feels fine.

Any ideas what is causing this and how I can check for any problem?

Thanks~

Your air suspension system is getting ready to go out. My light use to come on too and then one day the rear end lost both air bags in back and now it sits on the springs and its scary to drive with all the bouncing, not to mention it looks like a low rider and my co-workers kept asking what was in the trunk :naughty:cause it looks like I'm hauling a truck load of bricks.

You'll have to have the air system tested (my mechanic charges $45) and see if and where it's leaking air. Do you hear the compressor come on still?
my suggestion would to be convert it to regular shocks due to the expense of keeping those rubber parts (which wear out within 5 yrs), then theres the expense of replaceing the compressors and sensors when they malfunction and quit working.
It was cheaper at my mechanics to just convert it than to replace the stuff.
From what I can research, the job can be done by someone that is knowledgeable at repairs and its not that difficult and they give you instruction on turning off that light once its converted.
hope that helps

Thanks. I did replace both air bags about 2 years ago and the pump about 3 years ago and so I will just have to "ride" this one out ( pardon the pun )

The car has 272,700 and rides and purrs like new and I just love it.

I will let you know if anything changes.

Thanks so much for your feedback my friend!

OK I had someone check it for me and after putting it on a machine they found the problem. My horn, yes my horn ( beep beep ) was loose and had been wearing down a wire up front and underneath and finally cut through and severed it.

Working great now!

Beep beep, I'm going for a ride!

May Want to Retrieve DTC's. May be something Minor like and intermmitent problem or loose connection.
Good Luck
