4 or 6 cylinder?
Always check the tank gauge ground.
And find the gas tank wiring plugin and unplug it and see if gauge moves.
Does it change unpluged?
Then take a bulb type test light and touch the wire from fuel gauge to tank.
It should come on dim and gas gauge should move on way or the other.
Does it?
