Seriously though, sucks about the gauges. On the plus side, the engine compartment looks remarkably clean. Wouldn't take it for a 30 year old car.

well the motor thats in the car is blown to bits... those metal bits in the pushrod valley is what looks like.. flakes of piston... i pulled out one chunk that looked like a chicken nugget. Honestly it was huge, no freaking clue how it got there!

New motor is so clean... i've actually eaten off of it. Well it was by accident dropped my sandwhich on it once... Little assembly lube never hurt nobody.

this is the only possible reason we can think of why the motor blew... its a crappy picture dumb flash went off... and it glared. But you can see where the needle is stuck... i believe thats called Critical Meltdown...

once again sorry for the ultra poor quality of the picture...

I am a big fan of the cutoff radiator hoses. :)

Is your new powerplant a crate engine? and is it watercooled? also how much did it cost?

Hahaha... yeah We just cut whatever hoses were there during our destructive rampage...


Hahaha, yes the new motor is water cooled... the previous 350 thats sitting in the car was watercooled as well, just the owner must of overheated it cause we didnt find much if any water in the radiator... thus it became air cooled.


I guess you could call the new motor a crate motor... I payed about $2700 for it in long block form. It was built by a local engine shop thats been around since 1947.

Has a nice hole in the radiator to! Or did you do that in your destructive rampage?

hahah.. oh what you're looking at isnt the Radiator.. thats the A/C cooler... the radiator is on the garage floor.


So that hose thats cut is part of the A/C system.. haha sorry i didnt realise what I was looking at myself. Hack-a-ma-saw's are dangerous in a engine bay... :p
