how do i replace the thremostat on a 94 crown victoria..im a novice when it come to cars so step by step instruction would help a lot and pics but that might be asking for to much

One thing I've found on Ford's is the groove for the thermostat is in the housing. On a Chevy it is in the manifold. When using original equipment thermostats which have a locking attachment it isn't a problem. If using aftermarket thermostats use molding adhesive and glue the thermostat to the housing. Then glue the gasket to the housing.
It is very easy to crack the housing if it is misaligned.
