Heater and Fan ProblemAUbreytp 07-17-2008, 04:14 AM I have 316i e36 93 model,i have changed the heater control vavle and thermostat but my fan is blowing cold air,and this fan is only blowing at Max position (4) some they say it's fanblower resistor that makes the fan work on position 4.It's because of this fan why i'm getting only cold air, where it is Fan blower resistor, you can send the picture of how it look like.if i can get warm air even if this fan is like this what could be the problem on my heater ? sorry for so many questions it's winter in my country and i'm freezing/...Thanks ehelms 07-25-2008, 07:28 PM Its definitely the fan resistor, I had the same problem on my 1990 325i, with the fan that is. My fan would only run on low or high, switched the resistor and it was good as new. Sorry I cant be any help on the location or reason behind the cold air. cdc692003 08-19-2008, 04:38 PM Check out a web site E38.org lots of help there. titaniumbullet 08-27-2008, 05:51 PM Its definitely the fan resistor, I had the same problem on my 1990 325i, with the fan that is.
