I have an 02 DXL with 103k on it. I just had the transmission replaced. I had an 00 and started having transmission problems around the same milage. I had a 95 Suburban, same deal. I have a friend who just had to replace the transmission in an 05 DXL with 60k on it.

My 00 xl also had numerous other problems. One of the seat heaters stopped working, a window stopped working, the sun roof stopped working, and the cruise control stopped working. I'm praying that my 02 DXL won't begin having others "problems".

As much as I love the feel and comfort of driving yukons, I can see why they are losing so much business. I have several friends who own foreign SUV's with well over 100k miles and no problems. Screw me once, shame on you, screw me twice, shame on me, screw me a third time, stick a fork in me, I'm done.

im onto 135,000 miles on the stock tranny with A LOT of towing. I drop the pan about every 50,000 and refill it with 6 quarts of mobil 1 synthetic ATF. My 2000 yukon has been great to me so far, sorry that hasn't turned out to be the case for you. The fuel pump and fuel pressure regulator had to be replaced along with the autoride shocks, but other than those and routine maintenance, i've had no problems.
