Hello

Well my 1/20 F2000 wasn't ment to be:shakehead So i moved on to something else. This is a Revell 1/24 kit, im really enjoying this kit its really fun and pretty simple. This is going to be a quick build, should be done in a week or so.
I'm still working on the Jordan if you are wondering its just im still:banghead: waiting for stuff to come in, i hope it didn't get lost in the mail:uhoh:

Of what i have done so far i think its as clean as i can get to my ability, and that was my goal with this model.

Anyway here we go.

Simple and clean, very nice! Its been tempting to pick up this kit, like the BMW and have yet to do an F1 kit, not a bad place to start. Just wish Revell would have the wheel placement look right...(always seems too wide).

What white is this?

Thanks. the white i will use is pure white.

Undertray painted and decaled, engine and suspension is in place.

Hi Zubski.

Your progress is looking very promision.
I just love those simple, but beautiful, BMW Saubers.

How did you get "the plank" looking so realistic ?
Was there already a texture in it, or did you do something special to it ?

It looks very convincing !

This is turning into a great model for sure and your skills are rapidly improving.

I learnt the hard way on my FW24 build that if you use grey primer for a white body, that the white doesn't look so white  so well done for waiting for your LHS.

:2cents: You might consider drilling out the air intake (above the drivers head) if it doesn't create too many problems :2cents:

Kind regards,
Bill

Thanks billypee. Thats what i thought with the grey primer. I was thinking about drilling it out but im still not sure, i don't want to run into any problems. The only thing i worried about is masking and painting the black, making the hole shouldn't be that hard but i don't know the best way to paint.

Still waiting on the primer but i don't mind becuase im wait for an O-ring for my airbrush.

Hello

Well the body is painted but i have some bad spots:shakehead . it should be pretty easy to fix, and some spots i don't mind because a decal will go over it.

Hi Zubski

Your BWM Sauber is indeed looking much better with some paint and decals on.
One of the nicest liveries driving around F1 at the moment.

Did you smoothen the paint before applying the decals ?

http://i236.photobucket.com/albums/ff27/Zubski_8/P8020003a.jpg
The paint on the picture above looks very rough.

If you're going to clearcoat the car, the paint underneath the decals has to be as smooth as a mirror (I found out the hard way, even without the roughness of the paint seen in the image above).

DerXL I used 2000 grit sandpaper to get it out.

The instructions say to snap the wheels in place, im hearing snaping but the wheels aren't going on. So instead of breaking the suspension im going to leave them off. I'll make stands for the car and get a piece of wood, router it and the model will stay on that. Looking like this.
