I have a 1994 crown victoria, that I am trying to find a part for. The front driver door will not completely latch, and when making a turn you can actually hear it come out. The door will not fall open, but that will probably happen any time now. I don't know what this part is called, and really just need to know the name of the part, and if it is something I can fix. A diagram would be great also. Please let me know if you can help.

Thank you,
Kim

Have you tried lubing that door latch and checking to see if it closes all the way? Latch may not be completely closing when you close the door

Buying a door at a scrap yard is another possiblity.

If it is the part that hits the little part that sticks out from the middle of the doors, that is actually the door latch itself. I think it may be a dealer item only. It can also be the door hinge pins or hinges worn out. Open the door and see if you can pick up the door. If soor moves up and down, the hinges or the hinge pins are loose.
