Okay same car, more issues that started just today. 98 GST 5-speed.
When at idle. the car revs up and drops down, and does it again for a about a minute or so. When i try to get going, way to much power goes to the wheels and spins them, even though my foot is barley on the gas. And when i do get going the car barely wants to move and the turbo is putting out max boost and im going alomost no where with a loud ass whinning sound from the turbo...

what the hell is wrong with this thing?

be nice, it's only a car.:nono: :nono:

1. idle control
2. vacuum leak, and a major one somewhere. start with PCV hose and brake booster one, as those are large hoses.
3. your PCM goes boink.
either way, either get her to a parts store and scan for free, or buy scanner and scan, or find buddy with one and scan for codes. this is the first and most helpful step. then post codes here.

Codes are..
P1105-fuel pressure solenoid failure
p0505-idle air control valve failure

those are what each of the codes mean, right?
expensive fix?:banghead:

shouldn't. $$wise.

the 1st one sounds like your fuel pressure regulator
the 2nd one - i am not sure, but sounds like the idle control piece is bad. now, i am away from my regular source for error codes, so i am guessing, hopefully, someone else will be more helpful. i'd start with locating the parts and removing/cleaning connectors and checking them for loose wires etc. i'd remove idle control unit and clean it with carb/choke cleaner, i had it done before. maybe put somer lube on it.
idle control units oscillate around $70, or junk yard. fuel pressure regulator - donno. if you have autozone around, go there, they have access to Alldata, they will print you specific replacement procedures as far as you buy parts from them. DIY, it should not be hard at all. don't forget to release fuel pressure in the system before you touch fuel pressure regulator.
BUY CHILTON MANUAL.

ok, here's one link for you:

it's for 97, but should be close enough.
