60's Muscle and a Ferrari F40.DeViL 03-08-2003, 09:55 PM I can't believe I actually saw one of those on the road. I'm heading out to a restaurant and a yellow Ferrari F40 cruised passed me going the opposite direction. Thats like a $300,000+ car, it was kind of dirty too. How could someone keep a car like that dirty? Coming back from the restaurant I see a Nova similar to Redneck's grey one and some kind of 60's Mustang (couldn't tell what year it was, too dark out) street racing. The Nova seemed to have gotten the jump on the stang and was slowly pulling ahead of him. Too old cars going at it, something ya don't exactly see around these parts often. -The Stig- 03-08-2003, 11:06 PM Originally posted by DeViL How could someone keep a car like that dirty? i've no clue... As far as I know, the only thing that changed in the 68-72 design was that in 70 the front turn signals got reshaped or bigger... But whatever year it may have been, badass to hear a Nova kick'in ass. Fliquer 03-08-2003, 11:29 PM Hmm I didnt know F40s came in yellew...not to rain on your parade, but that might've been a kit car (probly a fiero underneath). -The Stig- 03-09-2003, 12:13 AM well... they do make a thing called Paint. People have been known to repaint perfectly good cars... ie Ricers. I'm pretty sure they came in yellow. And the kits for fiero's are to make it seem like a gts or gto. The F40 is way wide no body kit on a fiero can emulate that width without showing it a mile away. fatninja19 03-09-2003, 01:10 AM Originally posted by RedNeck383 well... they do make a thing called Paint. You liar. DeViL 03-09-2003, 07:12 AM I dunno about it being a kit car it looked pretty legit to me. Looked exactly like the pictures I've seen on the internet. Fliquer 03-09-2003, 03:44 PM You can make a fiero look like anything, the chassis is well suited to modifications. If ferrari built it, you can be sure theres a look-a-like kit for the fiero. As for the F40, I was just mentioning the POSSIBILITY of it being a kit car. TerminalVelocity 03-10-2003, 12:54 PM yah, that nova HAD to be a kit car with a f40 under it do beat the mustang :p hakka 03-10-2003, 02:12 PM Originally posted by Fliquer Hmm I didnt know F40s came in yellew...not to rain on your parade, but that might've been a kit car (probly a fiero underneath). I was thinking the same thing. I am pretty sure that they only came in red, but I can't say that I'm positive. gti1689 03-10-2003, 02:38 PM I also thought that they only made the F40 in red, but then I bought this month's issue of EVO magazine. In one of the articles called "confessions of a editor" (or something like that) there was a short one page article about how EVO wanted to video tape a yellow F40 and a red F50 going around a track. Once the photo shoot ended the driver of the F50 floored it and got into an accident with the journalist still in the car. They even have a picture of the F40 behind the F50 while they were still doing to photo/video shots. Hate to make my story so long, but you should check it out if you don't believe me. Someone show me a F40 body kit for a Fiero, I'd like to see how well it looks to the original. yah, that nova HAD to be a kit car with a f40 under it do beat the mustang Damn Chevy Nova Ferraris. That Nova I saw looked pretty tough, black with a decent size cowl induction hood on it. DeViL 03-10-2003, 03:03 PM F40's are cool and all but I'd kill to see their F50 on the road. http://www.users.on.net/merlyn/garage/ferrari/f50/images/1995_ferrari_f50_02.jpg http://www.users.on.net/merlyn/garage/ferrari/f50/images/1997_ferrari_f50.jpg What a monster looking car. spy 03-11-2003, 01:48 AM Originally posted by DeViL [B]How could someone keep a car like that dirty? I've been thinking of doing it myself just for the looks. :bloated: ~A DeViL 03-11-2003, 07:36 AM Car's get dirty. They aren't clean every single second of the day or night or whatever. THE ARS 03-12-2003, 01:17 AM F40's are custom buit, you could get any color. You had to go to the factory to get fitted for the seat, I am sure they would paint it any color you like. Haha yeah I'm special like that. or teh matt black on teh old Mustangs at the Drag Strips or the matt black on the old mustangs at the drag strips? I don't follow you.... Layla's Keeper 03-12-2003, 07:43 PM matte, as in flat, as in primer. Remember, NSX-R-SSJ20K is British. So he's bound to do odd things like say "aluminium" instead of "aluminum" (I do it too, occasionally), quote 0-100kph instead of 0-60mph, talk about losing kilos (and not to the FBI), shift with his left hand, and build the same wooden-framed sportscar for nearly sixty years without even considering a new model or major redesigns/updates until it becomes a "curious diversion" to the late founder's son. But hey, his countrymen built my Layla, gave us kick-ass tunes, and make damn-fine tea and pastries. Rule Britannia! vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
