Not necessary to replace them on a 96! Click Here (http://www.autozone.com/shopping/repairGuide.htm?pageId=0900c152800b1c82) for more info.

This shows for a 1.8L. I have a 3.8 L. non turbo engine.

That is a typo! Notice the engine size says: "VIN 1, C, L and K) Engine", all of which are a 3.8L. They never installed a 1.8L in a GM Bonneville/Eighty Eight/LeSabre 1986-1999 :shakehead
