Hello, I just wanted to know if a Chrysler Town & Country had an idling screw and is it recommended that we adjusted ourselves rather than taking it in for a tune up.

Thanks

Not sure about all early model years but, on 96 and newer...no you can't adjust the idle. It's done automatically via the Powertrain Control Module (PCM) and data sent to it via several sensors. The Idle Air Control (IAC) valve/motor directly controls idle rpm. What year and engine do you have and what is the problem?

Not recommended. Idle speed is computer controlled. As you turn the screw you change TPS voltage; as the voltage increases the computer in turn adds more fuel that is not needed at idle.
