1996 voyager front end noise question

I just traded my pickup for a 1996 Grand voyager Mark 3, it has high miles, like 250k, but motor is strong as an ox and it shifts smoothly, drives nice and is in generally great shape.
The only issue I seem to have is a cricking noise comming from my passenger side wheel base when i turn the steering and a clucking when i drive over bumps comming from same said area. i looked at the shock towers from under the hood, they look clean, but from underneath, the struts look rusty.
I do NOT feel anything unusual in the steering wheel as i drive and its alignment is dead straight. My thought is by reading these forums that is a strut/shock tower issue on the passenger side or a C/V joint. could be a lower control arm, as i see on the inspection from previous owner 8 months ago if failed for a ball joint in that area.

My question is, anyone else have this situation? and what did it turn out to be, how much did it cost?

thanks guys

Have you checked the sway bar bushings? Look at autozone.com, napaonline.com, or partsamerica.com for prices on part costs.
