AWD Montana on Sand Beach

I'm considering taking my AWD Montana on the beach. Other than getting stuck and losing my van to the tide, do I face any mechanical risks with thrown sand. Do I need to do some special cleaning afterward? Please assist.

About all I can recommend is if it's wet sand treat it as though you had been stuck in the mud. Thoroughly clean the under carriage and especially the brakes if it's just sand as in a sand box you should be fine with a moderate hose down.
