2004 sentra se-r spec v stalling help!!!tyler.winters 06-21-2008, 11:32 AM i have a spec v with 46,000 miles. i just got a full synthedic oil change like 20 miles ago. yesterday i decided to add RESTORE formulated for 4 cylinder motors. ever since then my car stalls randomly and motor doesnt rev as quick.... any ideas, i need help fast tyler.winters 06-21-2008, 12:25 PM so i just took it to autozone to get the codes read and they say its the camshaft positioner sensor in bank 1... cylinder 1. so how bads the damage and cost for a shop to take care of it tyler.winters 06-21-2008, 03:35 PM one more thing... i'm not sure where the sensor is but i think i located it on the rear of the motor on the passanger side right above the cv axle... is this correct? nismo_pilot 06-23-2008, 03:26 AM it is on the rear of the camshaft opposite the timing cover, should be a green connector i believe tyler.winters 06-30-2008, 06:42 PM so what i did is disconnected the battery for 15 mins so the check engine light is off and it stayed off. but i dont feel like the car is performing at its best, should i still replace the sensor even tho the check engine light is staying off???? nismo_pilot 07-02-2008, 07:32 PM i would, but see if you can see the trigger wheel on the back of them cam when you pull it out, inspect it for wear or gunk, and please for the love of god dont put any restore products in your motor ever again tyler.winters 07-09-2008, 03:12 PM any quick tips on how to remove this sensor nismo_pilot 07-10-2008, 12:18 AM deep socket and pb blaster.... vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
