ok, the forums are being gay and not bringing up any results on a search for fan.

i need to know the amp draw of a fan from an 86 taurus. anyone know?

I don't know the amp draw for the fan on the '86 Taurus, but typically they are fused with a 30-amp or 40-amp fuse so the steady-state current should be less than that. What are you trying to do? If you're trying to add a relay to the fan to control it by a manual means, a 40-amp Bosch-style automotive relay that's properly fused should work okay. It looks like on your 1986 the fan is fed by a fusible link, but I don't find a chart showing which color/gauge is used to determine what the current rating is for the link.

got the fan from my buddy's taurus when we scrapped it....its going in an 89 aerostar
